Boston University’s College of Communication is ranked 13th for “Top 25 Best Film Schools in America” by the Hollywood Reporter and 6th in College Magazine’s “10 Best Schools for Public Relations.” The honors are fitting for the oldest public relations school in America and a school that has been home to three alumni who are at the top the Women in Entertainment Power 100 list.
The Hollywood Reporter’s annual list describes COM as “a production beehive for cinematography and directing classes.” With notable alumni such as Bonnie Arnold (COM’78), and Joe Roth (COM ’70) it is no wonder that director Henry Hughes (COM ’06) says “BU is about finding yourself as a filmmaker.”
Public Relations has always been a staple of BU’s College of Communication. With the student-run PR agency PR Lab and exceptional professors such as Ray Kotcher (COM ’83) and Harold Burson Professor and Chair of Public Relations Don Wright, COM’s ranking in College Magazine is rightly deserved.
